The teacher said I passed with at least a four or five, so I’m all good. But that’s not the point. The point is that right before I started to parler, I looked up and started tearing up like Kenya Michaels did when she dressed as a Phoenix. I felt I was going to Lip Sync for My Life, but I was actually going to French Speak for My Life. It was so intense. Like I imagined the room turning blue and the lights focusing on me. And Madam Russell is already black like RuPaul so I imagined RuPaul in the room and it was too surreal. Right before I said ‘I’m Ready’, I wiped away two tears and started in Jujubee’s Black Velvet Pose.
